As I’ve said before, it’s a good idea to open up your upstairs vanity, especially if it sits on an outside wall. Make sure there is nothing stored under there that would inhibit air circulation to the pipes. If the power goes off, it might be a good idea to drip the cold water faucets, if you still have running water. If you are leaving your cabin, it’s a good idea to turn the water off so that you don’t come back to find it running down the stairs. Lots of people have had this so-so experience.
