We’ve had nearly five inches of rain since August 30. We’re at 43.95 inches for the year, according to the data from the weather station at Merciers.
It started at about 64 degrees on the porch this morning, and at 6:00 it stands at 68. The humidity is still off the charts, but it never got out of the 60s today.
It’s too early to tell if it forebodes an early fall, but after five weeks of sweltering heat, it couldn’t be more welcome.
