It’s hard to say how much snow we got, because it blew so much. I’d guess about two inches in the end. The temperature was 11 on the porch this morning, and the forecast high is 28, but it won’t get there here. The sun is out, and there is a chilly wind. The weather service says the wind chill is 1.
I’m sure there will be travel difficulties, depending on location. I can see parts of Cutcane Road, and they look pretty good. But the parts I can see are flat, and directly in the sun on the north side of the valley. It almost always looks good there.
It is supposed to warm later in the week – Monday’s high is supposed to be 43, and we might get some rain Tuesday night. So the snow will probably be largely gone by Wednesday afternoon.
There isn’t much shaking out there. There are no tracks of any kind in the yard – no deer tracks, no squirrel tracks, no rabbit tracks. I’ve seen a few small birds at too great a distance to identify. Make no mistake. It’s cold.
