We’ve had at least an inch of snow, and it’s snowing pretty good at 8:30. There will be travel difficulties. It’s just on the freeze, and the forecast high is 45. It is forecast to change to rain, but even so, there will likely be a hazardous refreeze on the roads this evening.
Update at 10:00. The guys working on the house next door got here OK, and I know that our FedEx driver made it from Loving Road out through the gorge to Ooltewah (near Chattanooga) this morning, so the roads may be mostly passable. I still think that there is apt to be a hazardous refreeze this evening. At this point, it has stopped snowing, but it hasn’t turned to rain.
