After a real cold snap, it seems that it is trying to be spring again. The temperature this morning was 39, and we’ve been seeing afternoon temperatures in the sixties.
We heard the tree frogs for the first time this weekend. They’re pretty tough. They actually make their own kind of antifreeze, by loading their cells with a high concentration of glycogen.
We haven’t heard the pond peepers yet. They’re usually a week or so behind the tree frogs.
