About 3:00, we saw a flight of 35-40 Sandhills headed NW toward Mineral Bluff. They passed over Dividing Ridge a little to the west of Dean Gap.
I’ve been here since 1987, and this was a first. Their route is usually through Atlanta and up the 75 corridor to Hiwassee Island.
