We’ve had about three and a half inches of rain over the past few days. It was very welcome, if a bit overdue. In any case, it seems to have brought most of the dogwoods into bloom, at least in our area, and there will likely be a bit more rain today. Most of it came in the form of a drizzle or a slow rain, so it likely soaked in to a large extent.
The crabapple has started to bloom, but the sarvis and redbuds are definitely done. The tree leaves seem to be more prolific after the rain, and just about everything is in leaf.
We’ve had a few beautiful days, with the fog and grey shifting mists and the many green shades from the tree leaves. It’s what I call “mountain weather.” People grump about it, but I happen to love it, and it’s one reason why I’m living here.
