We got about 1/2 inch of rain last night, but no severe storms.
It was about 50 on the porch this morning, but it has since dropped to 35 at 1:20. The forecast low is 22.
The forecast wintery mix started about noon with some snow. Nothing serious yet, as it is mixed with a little rain. I’ll update if it begins to stick, but I doubt it, at least until morning.
2:00 UPDATE: It is snowing pretty enthusiastically now, and it’s beginning to stick on cars, the railings, and the leaves down in the woods. Nothing on the driveway yet. As I was typing, a bit of grapple started to join the snow.
5:30 UPDATE: It slacked off for a while, and now it’s back to snowing pretty good. The weather service is now saying that we may have an accumulation of an inch. I still don’t see it sticking on the driveway, and I doubt it will stick on the roads. But they will be slippery because they are so wet, and there will undoubtedly be some icy spots. The decks are wet, and they will be very slick in the morning, after freeze up.
7:30 UPDATE: It’s just about sunset, and the snow has stopped for now. There’s still quite a bit of moisture in the clouds, so I wouldn’t bet against getting more overnight.
