Here’s the Georgia Wild newsletter, which includes a description of the Tegu lizard, a four foot long invasive species. Most of the sightings are in south Georgia, but if you look at the map, some are uncomfortably close to Fannin County – even if they are escaped pets. The DNR is asking us to report any sightings.
