After a long spell of unseasonably warm temperatures, I’m happy to report that they’ve finally gotten more seasonal. Yesterday morning was 50 on the porch and this morning it was 47. The trend is supposed to continue for the next few days.
There have also been a few beautiful, brisk fall afternoons.
There isn’t much tree color, except among some of the sourwoods. The dogwoods have been turning rusty for some time, and the oaks seem to be following them. It’s too early to tell if we are going to get any real fall color, but we can still hope that we do.
