Turkey Season Is In – Be Cautious In The Woods

Turkey season came in yesterday, and there will be many people hunting. It has been warm enough to kick off the mating season, and turkey hunting is a religion in the mountains. It’s a good time to go for a hike, but be cautious. Turkey hunters usually wear camo and face paint and sit with their backs to a tree. Remember that if you hear turkey, crow, or owl calls, that they may be being made by a hunter. Especially if they sound real bogus. Please leave the hunters alone. They are just enjoying their bliss, and it is a crime to interfere with a hunter in Georgia.

If you’re out there, a blaze orange cap would be a great idea. You should be able to get them at any hardware store, at the Wal-Mart, or at a lot of gas stations. Any sporting goods store will have them
