It’s snowing pretty enthusiastically where we are, about two miles southeast of Mineral Bluff. We usually get less precipitation than other areas of the county, so it may be different elsewhere. Indications are that it won’t be as bad as the forecast – temperatures are higher than forecast, and their prediction of accumulation has been downgraded to “less than 1 inch” instead of “1 to 3 inches.” But whether it ends up sticking on the ground or not, the refreeze is apt to be a bear. The low tonight is still predicted to be 16, and the refreeze will happen early this evening. If you live in one of those places that are subject to refreezing roads, extra caution is in order.
