UPDATE: At 10:00 AM, there’s more sun than predicted, and the snow is melting on the pavement that’s in the sun. That means there will be areas of refreeze this evening. Keep an eye on the situation and think of heading home before the refreeze, which will probably come early today.
It’s about 10 on the porch at 8:00 AM. There’s about a half an inch or so of snow on the ground. Decks are slick and the snow has stuck to the roads I can see. The forecast is gradually clearing with a high of 30 and a wind chill around -2. No doubt many roads will be slick, and there will be minimal salting of county roads, as the school busses aren’t running today.
