I’m told that everything is clear between Ellijay and Blue Ridge. Aska Road, however, seems to have gotten hammered with power outages and downed trees. I’m also told Ball Ground and Dahlonega also were hard hit. It isn’t too bad where we are, but the decks are icy. I wasn’t up late enough to see it, but apparently it warmed up enough late to melt the ice that was forming on the trees and power lines here. I’m able to see traffic moving on Cutcane Road, but that’s about the easiest place in the county, as it catches the sun early. I’m sure there are icy patches in many places, so use extreme caution if you have to drive. Fannin government offices are closed and school was already scheduled to be out, so I’m sure the county salt trucks didn’t run. Our office is open in downtown Blue Ridge.
