We had about an inch of most welcome rain last night, mostly in a slow drizzle. I’m not sure exactly when it rained last, but it must have been around October 1st. I haven’t seen an update from the fire team yet, but I imagine it helped with the fire in the Cohuttas. According to the New York Times, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge had to be evacuated, and hundreds of buildings had been damaged, so we’ve gotten off pretty easily on this one. As scary as it was, I don’t think any structures were involved.
