The last day to register to vote in Georgia is October 5. You can register to vote in person at the courthouse or online at:
https://registertovote.sos.ga.gov/GAOLVR/welcometoga.do#no-back-button
It takes about two minutes.
The Election Board has ordered a drop box for the outside of the courthouse. This is so you can return your absentee ballot without going into the courthouse. So long as the box is delivered in time, this option should be available by election day at the latest. Absentee ballots can be placed in the box any time. The absentee deadline is 7:00 PM on election day (that’s also when the polls close).
You can also go online to request an absentee ballot.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that the mail has been very slow lately. Absentee ballots should be mailed as soon after receipt as possible. Or use the drop box at the courthouse.
Early voting is October 13 – 30 9:00 – 6:00 and two Saturdays, October 17 & October 24, 9:00 – 4:00. That’s in person at the courthouse,. If you go up to vote in person, please say a word of appreciation to Mary Ann Conner and Chuck Cook, our county election employees. They’ve had a tough time this election cycle, and they deserve our thanks.
November 3 is Election Day.
