UPDATE: As of 9:00 AM, the weather service is predicting that the rain will change to snow around 2:00 AM and that an accumulation of 1-2 inches is possible. In my experience here, when the forecast strengthens like that, it’s best to take it seriously.
We’ve had a warm and wet week, with morning temperatures around 60. It was 65 on the deck this morning. Sunday night, the weather is slated to change, with a low around 28, and a chance of snow showers on Monday morning.
If it rains as forecast Sunday or Sunday night, the steps are apt to be icy, and it’s possible there may be some travel difficulties Monday morning. If you are planning to head back home on Monday morning, it might be a good idea to keep an eye on the weather, with a backup plan of leaving Sunday evening.
For those of you who follow these things, if I read the regulations correctly, deer hunting is over in North Georgia after January 9th. That’s good news for people who don’t like to run their dogs when the deer hunters are in the woods.
Obviously, it’s been another weird year. Best wishes to everyone for a better 2022!
