Leaf Report

We’re probably pretty close to peak leaf color at this point. I don’t think it will be spectacular this year, due to all the rain, but the coming week will probably be as good as it gets. The forecast is for a week or so of clear, beautiful weather.

On the downside, they’re starting to fall, and it’s time to blow leaves. At our place, the yellow poplar leaves fell first, and now the red oak leaves are falling. There are still a lot of green leaves on the trees as well.

We were up in the Rich Mountain Wilderness yesterday, and the leaves were very colorful compared to the color we have here at home. There’s usually more color an hour or two north in Tennessee as well.
