First Sign of Spring

After the very cold weather last week, we started out at 40 this morning. Yesterday’s high was 67, at least at the weather station at Mercier Orchards. Here at home, it was probably closer to 62. The drizzly weather this week will probably made the grass green up in the valley, and last night, we heard the first sound of spring – the peepers from the pond down in the valley. I’m sure it will bounce back cold at some point, but hearing the peepers is an indication to me that the year has turned, and spring is definitely on the way.
