In my last post, I noted that the Union County vax rate is 42%. While disappointingly low, the Fannin County rate is much lower, 17%. I suppose this serves as an objective correlative of the relative enlightenment of the two localities. The Chamber of Commerce may not like this, but it occurs to me that you would be significantly better off to shop and/or rent a cabin in Union County rather than Fannin County, assuming you care about these things.
As of a few days ago, covid beds in Georgia hospitals were at 90% capacity.
