Dogwood Report, Wildflowers

Most of the dogwoods seem to be out, or at least well on the way. This weekend should be pretty good, and next weekend will probably be good, depending on the weather. The wildflowers should be almost to the beginning of their peak period, but it depends a lot on location, richness of soil, and exposure. In our yard on the north facing slope, we had the first dwarf iris come yesterday. The trillium is up out of the ground, but not yet in flower. But I have seen reports of fully flowered trillium already.
