Blue Ridge City Council Closes All Non-Essential Businesses, Including Cabin Rentals, Fannin County Declares Emergency

Here is the text of the ordinance. I’ve only had time to skim it, but it looks like it shuts short-term rentals down, along with non-essential business. It looks like bars are closed but restaurants may do take out, including non-open container alcohol sales. It looks like there is a curfew from 9:00-5:00.

They’ve been running the old dog pretty hard lately, and I’m too worn out to look. But I imagine the county ordinance is similar. The local goverments surely don’t have the ability to draft these ordinances, this fast. So, it must be something the GMA sent around for adoption. I’ll try to look in the AM, but I imagine the Fannin ordinance is pretty much a carbon copy of the Blue Ridge ordinance.
